A showcase of myself and my projects
Hi! My name is Zak and I am a cybersecurity analyst.
I am a huge enjoyer of Capture The Flag, to the point where I feel I may sometimes be addicted to them. CTFs are not only one of my favorite ways to pass time, they provide me with a "why" and motivate me to continuously learn and grow. It all started with TryHackMe, but after a little while on that platform I found myself exclusivly on HackTheBox doing weekly boxes, challenges, and pro labs. But, more often than not anymore I am on Proving Grounds by Offensive Security, practicing for the OSCP certification.
What started as my first custom water cooled PC that I built for specifically for gaming, quickly bacame a homelab that I could use to spin up containers and VMs. It is now primarily used for my Kali linux VM for CTFs, REMnux for my malware analysis lab, and virtual environments for exploratory research.
After my first year at Purdue, one hobby that I ended up taking home with me was tinkering with circuits and embeded systems. Since then, in my spare time i've worked on personal projects ranging from an audio mixer and stopwatch to a device designed to generate noise and interference that renders nearby wireless communication in the 2.4GHz range impossible... Yep, I made a WiFi jammer. (not shown here, but feel free to ask for the code and circuit diagram)
